Christmas Plum Pudding
1 cup finely chopped beef suet
2 cups fine bread crumbs
1 cup sugar
1 cup milk
1 pint flour
1 cup seedless raisins
1 cup dried currants
1 cup chopped almonds
1/2 cup citron, sliced thin
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cloves
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
4 well-beaten eggs
1 tsp of baking soda dissolved in 1 tbsp warm water
Flour the fruit thoroughly.
In a large bowl, mix the eggs, sugar, spices, and salt in the milk.
Stir in the fruit, nuts, bread crumbs, and suet. Then stir in the dissolved baking soda. Then add in the flour.
Boil or steam for 4 hours. Serve with wine or brandy (which may be flambed) or any well-flavored sauce.

1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 can (16 ozs) stewed tomatoes
1 can (8 ozs) tomato sauce
1/2 teaspoon dried basil leaves, crushed
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon pepper
7 oz uncooked spaghetti
1 can (12 ozs whole kernel corn with sweet peppers
1/3 cup sliced pimento-stuffed olives
5 thin slices mozzarella or Monterey Jack cheese
Cook and stir Italian bulk sausage in oil in 10 inch skillet over medium heat until light brown, about 6 minutes; drain. Stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce, basil, salt garlic powder and pepper. Heat to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally, 10 minutes.
Cook spaghetti as directed on package; drain. Stir corn (with liquid) and olives into sausage mixture. Simmer uncovered 5 minutes. I was on Yahoo! once and found the most amazing sugar cookie recipe ever, but, being stupid, I didn't mark it or anything.
It was an old Betty Crocker recipe that didn't call for any shortening.
