What the other Betty Crocker Super Moist Cake recipe that comes on the back of the box for a more moist cake?

I made a cake last week when I was in the States using Betty Crocker's SuperMoist French Vanilla cake mix. Now, I bought the same SuperMoist French Vanilla cake mix in Canada, but apparently the packaging is slightly different because I can't find a recipe that was on the back of the cake mix I bought in Florida.

The back of the box I bought in the States had the original ingredients for making the cake (add 2-3 eggs, oil, water), but then there was another recipe version on the box for a more moist cake. I remember specifically that it called for FOUR eggs, milk, butter, and oil, but I can't remember the quantities of the other ingredients.

Does anyone happen to have any Betty Crocker Cake mix boxes who can tell me what exactly the other version for baking the cake mix was? Please? I really want to bake the same cake I made in Florida! : (What the other Betty Crocker Super Moist Cake recipe that comes on the back of the box for a more moist cake?

1 beef arm, blade or cross rib pot roast or boneless chuck eye or shoulder roast, 4 pounds

HEARTY ROAST WITH VEGETABLES

Ingredients

* 3 potatoes, white or yellow-fleshed, peeled and cubed

* 2 red or yellow sweet peppers, cut into 1-inch (2-cm) chunks

* 1 small butternut squash, peeled and cubed

* 1 large Spanish or other sweet onion, cut into 1-inch (2-cm) chunks

* 1 medium zucchini, cut into 1-inch (2 cm) chunks

* 1/2 lb. (250 g) fresh mushrooms, halved if large

* 1/4 cup (50 mL) olive oil

* 2 tbsp. (30 mL) balsamic vinegar

* 2 tbsp. (30 mL) chopped fresh rosemary (or 1 tbsp./15 mL dried)

* 1 tsp. (5 mL) salt

* 1/4 tsp. (1 mL) black pepper

Cooking Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 475 degrees F (250 degrees C).

2. In a large bowl, toss together all the vegetables. Add olive oil, balsamic vinegar, rosemary, salt and pepper and toss again until evenly coated.

3. Arrange in a single layer in a large roasting pan (or baking sheet). If necessary, use two pans to give the vegetables plenty of room to spread out and brown properly. If they're piled up, they'll steam rather than roast.

4. Place in the oven and roast for 35 to 40 minutes, stirring gently two or three times or until vegetables are tender and nicely browned.

Aunt Anne's (?) cookie recipe from Betty Crocker cookbook?

My mom had an old worn paperback copy of the Betty Crocker cookbook. There was a recipe in it for ';Aunt Anne's cookies'; [or at least I think it was 'Aunt Anne'. It was definitely Aunt Somebody's cookies]. Anyhow, the recipe had cereal in it - I can't remember which - a cornflake kind of cereal - if I remember correctly, I want to say it was Grape Nut Flakes or something odd like that. Can someone please find me that recipe?Aunt Anne's (?) cookie recipe from Betty Crocker cookbook?

i want to make a cake that tastes just like Betty Crocker's cake mix, without having to use the mix. we don't get them anymore where i live, so I'd be grateful if someone shared a recipe that gave the same results.Betty crocker cake mix, recipe replacement?
You can make wonderful cakes without a cake mix. You will not, however, get the same texture that you get from the boxed cake mixes.

You will have total control over the quality of ingredients.

You will have control over the intensity of flavor you want.

You will know the freshness of ingredients

You will be able to choose between ';real'; and ';artificial'; ingredients. I know that may seem like a repeat of the quality of ingredients but I think it is different.

For all that you may give up

    A little bit of time

A finer texture for a heartier texture.

I think it is worth it.

You may need to play with your ingredients, try cake flour, try regular flour, compare the two. Like one over the other? don't like either? try a combination of the regular flour and cake flour.

After making your own cakes you may just find out that the box cake mixes don't have the character that you have come to like about home made cakes.

Go, play with your food!Betty crocker cake mix, recipe replacement?
This is a simple golden cake- quite a large layer cake

    ingredients:

    2 3/4 cups flour

    2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

    3/4 teaspoon salt

2 sticks (8 ounces) unsalted butter, at room temperature

    2 cups sugar

    5 large eggs

1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

    1 1/3 cups whole milk

    Vanilla Frosting Get ahead

Store wrapped unfrosted cake layers at room temperature for up to 2 days.

    Directions:

1.Preheat the oven to 350掳. Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder and salt.

2.In a large bowl, using a mixer, beat the butter and sugar on medium speed until light and fluffy, 2 to 3 minutes. Scrape down the bowl. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in the vanilla. With the mixer on low speed, alternately add the dry ingredients and milk in three parts, mixing until just incorporated.

3.Divide the batter between the prepared pans and smooth the tops. Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center of each cake comes out clean, 35 to 40 minutes. Transfer the pans to a rack and let cool for 10 minutes. Run a knife around the pans to release the cakes and invert; let cool completely.

4.Slice the cakes into 2 layers each. Stack and frost with a vanilla frosting.
Get a cookbook out, and under plain cakes, find a white or yellow simple recipe. Add extra vanilla, and taste the batter until you get the results you want.

Using cake flour will help also.

good luck. By the way, most of my cakes are made this way. When I get lazy, I use a mix.

Look up recipes on line. Cooking.com, MarthaStewart, or just type in cakes.
mixes are made from chemicals. impossible to replicate
hey if God wanted us to bake BC cake mix from scratch,he wouldn't have invented cake mixes.(lol)..I don't have one,but the last time I made a cake from scratch it was really packy, like thick,it wasn't light. So, I imagine alot of egg whites go into the box recipes.Of course they probably use powdered meringeue. Lots.
Cake mix is a convenience item, has been since late 40's. The secret to great scratch cakes are the way you add your ingredients.

I like Soft Silk Cake flour but any brand will do, or you can use all purpose flour.

grease and dust with flour- two 8 inch round cake pans

(I use a stand mixer, but, a hand mixer will do just fine)

Use one stick of butter (room temperature)

    1 1/2 tsp baking soda

    1/2 tsp salt

    3 cups sugar

2 tsp vanilla extract (or other flavoring) this is for a yellow cake

Place in mixing bowl and beat on high until light and fluffy

Add eggs one at a time, 2 large or 3 small/medium size (room temp)

Beat on high until well mixed

You can either use 1 cup sour cream or buttermilk (have room temperature) (this helps cake keep its moisture

Pre sift your flour at least three times before measuring -use 3 cups cake flour or 2 3/4 plain flour

add flour 1/2 cup at a time, beating in between each addition, you want your batter light and fluffy,

Cook in 350 preheated oven, till cake center is done, let cool in pans before inverting to plate,

For Chocolate cake, use 2 tablespoons coco

Lemon cake, use lemon zest and two to three tablespoons of lemon juice.
I've got a similar recipe, but it's not going to be exactly like the box mix. The box mix uses ingredients you can't get off the store shelf. I hope you like this recipe (from Betty Crocker's Cookbook):

Does anyone have a recipe for taking pre-made vanilla frosting (Like betty crocker) and making it chocolate?

:D? Does anyone have a recipe for taking pre-made vanilla frosting (Like betty crocker) and making it chocolate?
This is one you have to be careful with. Since the vanilla frosting is already made, you can't just melt chocolate and add it or you'll melt the vanilla frosting as well. And, if you let the chocolate cool, it will reset. The only thing I can think of is to add some chocolate syrup (like what you use on ice cream) to the vanilla frosting and whip it again. Start light because it shouldn't take too much.

Hope that helps.Does anyone have a recipe for taking pre-made vanilla frosting (Like betty crocker) and making it chocolate?

Slowly whisk in hot milk. Cook mixture over med heat whisking constantly scraping pan bottom and sides as you stir until mixture thickens to a pudding consistency (about ten mins.) Off heat stir in vanilla and butter transfer to a bowl and cool to room temperature, placing a piece of plastic wrap directly on the surface of the mixture to prevent a skin from forming. REfrigerate pastry cream until firm. to ensure pastry cream does not thin out do not whisk once it has set.

Recipe for Betty Crocker Warm Delights?

Heat oven to 350 F. In a large mixing bowl, combine

    1 cup flour

    3/4 cup granulated sugar

    1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa

    2 tsp baking powder

    1/2 tsp salt (optional)

    Add

    1/2 cup skim milk

    1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce

    1 tsp vanilla extract

Stir to blend. Spoon into an 8X8 inch baking pan spray with cooking spray.

    In a medium-sized bowl, combine

    3/4 cup brown sugar

    1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa

3/4 to 1 3/4 cup hot water (see note)

Stir to blend and pour over batter in prepared pan. Bake for 40 minutes.

Serve with nonfat frozen yogurt, if desired.

Note: A fudgy sauce forms on the bottom of the brownie as it bakes. The

consistency of the sauce depends on the amount of hot water you use in the

recipe. If you use the maximum amout, it's like a chocolate syrup; with the

minimum amount it's more like a pudding. I think I usually use about 1 1/4

cup for a medium-thick sauce, which I spoon up over the yogurt to make a hot

fudge brownie sundae kind of thing.

You'll probably have to add a few of your own herbs and spices to ';wake up'; ol' Betty Crocker's version. Here's what I like to add:

Oregano, dried dill, celery salt, celery seed and a touch of half and half cream to smooth it all out. You could also throw in some Old Bay Seasoning if you have it.

A nice thing to serve with it is some stewed tomatoes that you've heated up; great to mix it with it!

If you have any fresh asparagus, cook it up, and add to the mac %26amp; cheese--delicious!

    Baked Macaroni and Cheese

    ';A friend of mine sent this recipe to me when I got my first apartment, because she knows how much I hate cooking! It's really easy -- even I can make it -- and tastes great. I'm not sure where she found the recipe, but it included the note 'Good source of protein, vitamin A, B group vitamins, calcium.'';

    Original recipe yield:

    3 to 4 servings

    INGREDIENTS

    1 (12 ounce) package macaroni

    1 egg

    2 cups milk

    2 tablespoons butter, melted

2 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese

    salt and pepper to taste

    DIRECTIONS

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 2-quart baking dish.

In a large pot of salted water, lightly boil the macaroni for about 5 minutes until half-cooked.

Whisk the egg and milk together in a large cup. Add butter and cheese to the egg and milk. Stir well.

Place the lightly cooked macaroni in the prepared baking dish. Pour the egg and cheese liquid over the macaroni, sprinkle with salt and pepper, and stir well. Press the mixture evenly around the baking dish.

Bake uncovered, for 30 to 40 minutes, or until the top is brown.

    WARNING: DELICIOUS
I find I use a sharper cheddar and more of it than most recipes call for. Make a medium thickness white sauce and add lots of sharp cheddar cheese, some black pepper (or a touch of hot pepper sauce). Cook the elbow macaroni and drain it well. Add macaroni into the cheese sauce. Pour into a baking dish, then bake until heated through and slightly browned on the top.

    Quick and Easy way::

1 package devil's food cake mix - Chocolate or German Chocolate (If you are going to use the German chocolate mix be sure to press cookies to slightly flatten then immediately after removing them from the oven - this will insure a perfectly round cookie)

    2 eggs

1/2 cup oil (or butter flavored shortening)

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Roll dough into balls (a little larger than a quarter). Place on greased cookie sheet. Bake for 8 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool on sheet (until warm). Remove cookies from sheet and place on cooling rack.To assemble the cookies, in a pastry bag with a 1/2 inch, round tip (you can always use a zip lock bag with a round tip or just use a butter knife)add about a tablesppon of filling into the center of one cookie. Place another cookie similiar in size on top of the filling. Lightly press, to work the filling evenly to the outsides of the cookie. Continue this process until all the cookies have been sandwiched with cream.

Here is a recipe from a Betty Crocker Cookbook dated 1974 hope this is it.

    Homemade Egg Noodles.

2 Cups all purpose flour. (if using self rising flour omit salt.)

    3 egg yolks

    1 egg

    2 teaspoons salt

    1/4 to 1/2 cup water

Measure flour into bowl; make a well in center and add egg yolks, whole egg and salt. With hands, thoroughly mix egg into flour. Add water, 1 tablespoon at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition. (Add only enough water to form dough into a ball)

Turn dough onto a well floured cloth covered board; knead until smooth and elastic, about 10 minutes. Cover rest 10 minutes. ( Pretty sure that means dough not you resting!)

Divide dough into 4 equal parts. Roll dough, 1 part at a time, into paper thin rectangle, keeping remaining dough covered. Roll rectangle around rolling pin; slip out rolling pin.

Cut dough crosswise into 1/8 inch strips for narrow noodles and 1/4 inch strips for wide noodles. Shake out strips and place on towel to dry, about 2 hours.

When dry, break dry strips into smaller pieces. Cook in 3 quarts boiling salted water 12 to 15 minutes or until tender.I am looking for the recipe for homemade noodles from the ';old'; betty crocker cookbook. They have changed the?

Measure flour into bowl; make a well in center and add egg yolks, whole egg and salt. With hands, thoroughly mix egg into flour. Add water, 1 tablespoon at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition. (add only enough water to form dough into a ball)

Turn dough onto well-floured cloth-covered board; knead until smooth and elastic, about 10 minutes. Cover; let rest 10 minutes.

Divide dough into 4 equal parts. Roll dough, 1 part at a time, into paper-thin rectangle, keeping remaining dough covered. Roll rectangle around rolling pin, slip out rolling pin.

Cut dough crosswise into 1/8-inch strips for narrow noodles or 1/4-inch strips for wide noodles. Shake out strips and place on towel to dry, about 2 hours.

When dry, break dry strips into smaller pieces. Cook in 3 quarts boiling salted water (use 1 tablespoon of salt for that) for 12 to 15 minutes or until tender. Drain thoroughly.

Makes about 6 cups (AKA 10 ounces).

I hate to break it to you, but nothing home-made will taste like the canned stuff (the fake canned stuff is full of artificial flavors and is usually much sweeter than home-made). So if you need an exact match, you need to buy a can.

Otherwise, here's a nice creamy vanilla frosting recipe:

    Creamy Vanilla Frosting

1 1/3 cups milk (low fat is fine)

    1/4 cup all purpose flour

    1/2 tsp salt

    1 1/3 cups sugar

    1 1/3 cups butter, softened

    2 tsp vanilla extract

Combine milk, flour and salt in medium saucepan with the heat turned off. Whisk until smooth. Cook over medium-high heat, whisking, until mixture thickens and comes to a boil (about 5-7 min.). Boil for 1 minute then remove from heat. Strain into a medium bowl and cover surface with plastic food wrap to prevent a pudding-like “skin” from forming. Cool to room temperature (about 1 1/2 hours).

When flour mixture is cool, beat together sugar, butter and vanilla in large bowl until light and creamy. Adding a dollop at a time, beat in the cooled flour mixture until frosting is creamy and light.

Betty Crocker lighter recipe Carrot cake?

ok, so my family made this healthy carrot cake. It says 300 calories/serving. But we didnt make it with the cream cheese frosting. So how many calories are per serving then?

here's the recipe website: http://www.bettycrocker.com/Recipes/Reci鈥?/a>Betty Crocker lighter recipe Carrot cake?
Figure out the caloric content of the ingredients in the frosting, divide it by the number of servings and subtract that from the 300 calories per serving. That will tell you how much a serving without frosting contains.

I am hoping to find this online. My party is Monday!!!!!!!I am planning a party this week and have lost my chili recipe Where can I find an old Betty crocker receipe?
Besides checking the 3 pgs. of chili oriented recipes on the Betty Crocker site, I pulled my 1981 BC Cookbook. I don't know if this will match what you're remembering or not, but it actually is pretty close to how I make mine.

    CHILI

    1 # hamburger

1 large onion, chopped (about 1 cup)

    2 cloves garlic, crushed

1 can (16 ounces) whole tomatoes

2 medium stalks celery, sliced (about 1 cup)

2 to 3 Tbs. chili powder

    2 tsp. salt

    1 tsp. sugar

    1 tsp. Worchestershire sauce

1/2 tsp. red pepper sauce (optional) [same as Tabasco]

1 can (15 ounces) kedney beans, drained

Cook and stir hamburger, onion and garlic in 3-quart saucepan until hamburger is light brown; drain. Stir in tomatoes (with liquid) and rest of ingredients, except kidney beans. Heat to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer 1 hour.

Stir in beans. Heat to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer uncovered until hot, about 15 minutes. (for thicker chili, continue simmering, stirring occasionally, until desired consistency.) 5 Servings about 1 cup each

    _______

I don't use the Worchestershire sauce - but might next time. But I definitely use chopped green or red pepper. I also add 1/2 to 1 tsp. cumin. The salt seems excessive.I am planning a party this week and have lost my chili recipe Where can I find an old Betty crocker receipe?
Do an internet search for sites like those below:

1/2 lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef

2 cups Progresso庐 red kidney beans (from 19-oz can), drained, rinsed

1 can (10 3/4 oz) condensed tomato soup

    1 soup can water

    1 tablespoon instant minced onion

2 to 3 teaspoons chili powder

    1. Cook beef in 2-quart saucepan over medium heat about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until brown; drain.

    2. Stir in remaining ingredients. Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally.

Thanks for the walk down memory lane! I received my book on my 11th birthday from a old German lady that kind of adopted me. My book has no date on it whatsoever except her birthday wishes and the year..1963. The same recipe, however, is found on pg 138! It has kids comments on the bottom of most pages and some wonderful color photos of the food items.

I cooked from it as often as I was allowed--and even when I went out on my own, I referred to it!. Holy Smokes !! Do you know how old I am??? Yesterday was my birthday, so again, thanks for the memories!

How can I convert a cookie recipe that calls for a Betty Crocker Sour Cream Cake Mix (which no longer exists)?

These are favorites of my mother's and would love to surprise her, but the Betty Crocker Sour Cream White Cake Mix is no longer made. I would guess I could use a White Cake Mix but not sure how to get the sour cream flavor. The recipe for the cookies has the following ingredients: 3/4 c butter; 1 tsp vanilla; 1 sour cream cake mix; 3/4 c finely chopped pecans - Any ideas on how to modify this would be greatly appreciated. How can I convert a cookie recipe that calls for a Betty Crocker Sour Cream Cake Mix (which no longer exists)?
Use the white cake mix and substitute half of the butter with sour cream. When baking a cake I substitute the oil for sour cream or Miracle whip. It makes a very moist and delicious cake.

My first suggestion was going to be substituting 3/4 cup sour cream for 3/4 cup butter but I think that would make your batter not quite stiff enough. Although you could try it both ways and then you'll know for certain and the cookies will be perfect for your MOM. Good luck with that. How can I convert a cookie recipe that calls for a Betty Crocker Sour Cream Cake Mix (which no longer exists)?

Like the other person said, if the oil/milk isn't in with the mix yet, you can use a can of sprite. Mix it with the box of mix, and cook. No other ingredients.

If you've already mixed it, maybe call the company # on the box for help, or consider using apple sauce (see link for other peoples recommendations to a similar issue, several recommend the apple sauce):

    Peanut Blossom Cookies

    INGREDIENTS:

8 oz. pkg. milk chocolate kisses

    1/2 cup butter, softened

    3/4 cup peanut butter

    1/3 cup sugar

    1/3 cup light brown sugar

    1 egg

    2 Tbsp. milk

    1 tsp. vanilla

    1-1/4 cups flour

    1 tsp. baking soda

    1/4 tsp. salt

    more granulated sugar

    PREPARATION:

Heat oven to 375 F. Remove wrappers from chocolate. Beat butter and peanut butter in large bowl until well blended. Add 1/3 cup sugar and brown sugar; beat until light and fluffy. Add egg, milk and vanilla; beat well.

Stir together flour, baking soda and salt; gradually beat into peanut butter mixture. Cover tightly and chill for 4-8 hours in fridge.

Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Roll in granulated sugar; place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Immediately press a chocolate piece into center of each cookie; cookie will crack slightly around edges. Let stand on cookie sheets for 3-4 minutes, then remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely. Makes about 48 cookies

To freeze, shape dough into balls but do not roll in sugar. Place on waxed paper lined cookie sheets and freeze until firm. Pack into hard sided freezer containers; label, and freeze up to 3 months. To bake, roll frozen dough into sugar, then bake as directed, adding 3-6 minutes to the baking time.

Here's one from my own files that always amazes me because it works.

    Ingredients:

16 Tbs. (2 sticks) unsalted butter, at

    room temperature

1 3/4 cups firmly packed dark brown sugar

    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

    3 eggs

    2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

    1 tsp. baking powder

    3/4 tsp. salt

    12 oz. chocolate chips

    Directions:

Preheat an oven to 350掳F. Lightly spray a 9-by-13-inch baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.

In a food processor, combine the butter, brown sugar and vanilla and process until well combined, about 1 minute, stopping the processor occasionally to scrape down the sides of the bowl. Add the eggs one at a time and pulse for 2 seconds after each addition. Sift the flour, baking powder and salt directly onto the butter mixture and pulse 10 times, 2 seconds per pulse.

Transfer the batter to a bowl and fold in the chocolate chips. Spoon the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake until the blondies are golden brown and the edges are firm to the touch, 30 to 35 minutes.

Transfer the pan to a wire rack and let cool completely, about 1 hour, then cut into bars. Makes 20 blondies.

Note: The blondies can be baked in two 9-inch square pans. Spray the pans and prepare the batter as directed. Divide it between the pans and spread evenly. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes.

I'm really sorry to tell you this, but there really is no way you can make the icing at home.. All I can give you is a recipe for some really sweet Creamy Vanilla Frosting:

    Here's what you need:

Adding a dollop at a time, beat in the cooled flour mixture until frosting is creamy and light.Betty crocker icing recipe?
    1/2 cup solid vegetable shortening

1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened

    1 teaspoon Clear Vanilla Extract

4 cups sifted confectioners' sugar (approx. 1 lb.)

    2 tablespoons milk

In large bowl, cream shortening and butter with electric mixer. Add vanilla. Gradually add sugar, one cup at a time, beating well on medium speed. Scrape sides and bottom of bowl often. When all sugar has been mixed in, icing will appear dry. Add milk and beat at medium speed until light and fluffy. Keep bowl covered with a damp cloth until ready to use. For best results, keep icing bowl in refrigerator when not in use. Refrigerated in an airtight container, this icing can be stored 2 weeks. Rewhip before using.

    YIELD: Makes about 3 cups.

For thin (spreading) consistency icing, add 2 tablespoons light corn syrup, water or milk.

For Pure White Icing (stiff consistency), omit butter; substitute an additional 1/2 cup shortening for butter and 1/2 teaspoon No-Color Butter Flavor. Add up to 4 tablespoons light corn syrup, water or milk to thin for icing cakes.

NOTE: Changes in Wilton's traditional recipes have been made due to Trans Fat Free Shortening replacing Hydrogenated Shortening.

These cookies are so delicious and extremely easy! I found the recipe on a box of devil's food cake mix and I have loved it ever since. Nuts are completely optional, I usually make them without, but macadamia nuts are really nice when you add them.

    Ingredients:

1 (18 1/2 ounce) box betty crocker supermoist devil's food cake mix

1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened

    1 teaspoon vanilla

    2 large eggs

    1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

    1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

    Directions:

    1. Preheat oven to 350掳.

    2. Beat half the dry cake mix, the butter, vanilla, and eggs in a large bowl on medium speed until smooth, or mix with a spoon.

    3. Stir in remaining cake mix, the nuts (if used), and chocolate chips.

    4. Drop dough by rounded tsps about 2-inches apart onto the ungreased cookie sheet.

Cake Lovers...Duncan Hines Classic Yellow or Betty Crocker Butter recipe yellow mix?

Yes- I know some of you are ready to defend scratch...I've tried it twice before but I don't have the money for an electric mixer/ wire rack/etc right now.

Which of these two cake mixes taste better? Should I add applesauce to the mix or vanilla pudding mix or will that mess up the flavor?

Thanks!Cake Lovers...Duncan Hines Classic Yellow or Betty Crocker Butter recipe yellow mix?
Duncan Hines has a finer texture, but tears easily and thus is not so good for decorating. Betty Crocker has a courser texture, which I prefer, and is better for decorating. I ALWAYS use apple sauce or baby food fruit in place of the oil and it always tastes really good, plus is lower in fat. If you want to try something really great, make a butter flavored Super Moist by Betty Crocker. Use baby food apricot instead of the oil. Put apricot preserves between the layers and finish it off with a mocha icing. Simply yummy!Cake Lovers...Duncan Hines Classic Yellow or Betty Crocker Butter recipe yellow mix?
    Nothing but butter.
    Betty Crocker Butter...............yummy
Betty Crocker Butter tastes a lot better than Duncan Hines classic yellow!!! Thats what these two kids said ne way!!
    Betty Crocker Butter Recipe!

I've put chocolate pudding in between the layers and then made a chocolate ganache icing. The hubby's favorite!
Of the box mixes, you can't go wrong with Duncan Hines. You don't even need to add anything to the mix besides what the box calls for.
