Homemade Dumplings
Just like Grandma used to make! Savory mounds of dough to top bubbling stew.
Prep Time:10 min
Start to Finish:30 min
Makes:10 dumplings
1 1/2 cups Gold Medal庐 all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon parsley flakes, if desired
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons shortening
3/4 cup milk
1. Mix flour, parsley, baking powder and salt in medium bowl. Cut in shortening, using pastry blender or crisscrossing 2 knives, until mixture looks like fine crumbs. Stir in milk.
2. Drop dough by 10 spoonfuls onto hot meat or vegetables in boiling stew (do not drop directly into liquid). Cook uncovered 10 minutes. Cover and cook 10 minutes longer.Does anyone have the betty crocker dumpling recipe?
Bisquick Dumplings
2 cups Original Bisquick庐 mix
2/3 cup milk
1. Stir ingredients until soft dough forms.
2. Drop by spoonfuls onto boiling stew/soup; reduce heat.
3. Cook Uncovered 10 minutes. Cover and cook 10 min.
High altitude (3500-6500 ft) No changes.
You can add chopped chives, parsley, oregano, dill, onions, basil, etc., to the dough to vary the taste.Does anyone have the betty crocker dumpling recipe?
