Only answer if you've done it please! I need a great chocolate pound cake recipe. I'm actually going to marble it with regular pound cake for a wedding cake in the near future.

1 (18.25 ounce) package chocolate cake mix


1 (3.5 ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix


3/4 cup vegetable oil


3/4 cup water


4 eggs


1 teaspoon vanilla extract





Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour 9x13 inch pan.


In a large bowl, combine cake mix, pudding mix, oil and water. Beat until moistened. Add eggs and beat well. Add flavorings. Beat 6 to 8 minutes on medium high speed. Batter will be very thick.


Pour into prepared pan and bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 40 to 45 minutes or until tester comes out clean.








You can do the exact same thing with yellow cake mix and vanilla pudding, and marble the two together. Delish.

2 Cups Flour


1 Cup Butter


1 2/3 cups granulated sugar


5 Large Eggs


1 tsp Almond extract


3 Tablespoons Cocoa





Sift Flour, measure and then sift 5 times with cocoa. Cream butter until frothy and pale then add sugar gradually and mix until fluffy Add eggs one at a time beating after each addition until well blended After last egg is added beat for 5 min Fold in flour slowly by hand Add almond extract and pour into a well greased tube pan. Bake at 300F for 1.5 hours
