Can anyone help with the recipe. It called for two different cheeses types. I've goggled it but none of the recipes sound correct. Does anyone know it or can provide a link to it?I can't find my Betty Crocker Mac %26amp; Cheese recipe book. It's from the new Pink Etd. for Breast Cancer. ?
i will be glad to help you with that! i have the book in front of me now...there is actually two different mac and cheese...one regular..one with caramelized onions...i will give you the regular one...if you want the other, just send me an email
2 cups dried elbow macaroni
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/8 tsp. black pepper
2 1/2 cups milk
1 1/2 ups shredded cheddar cheese
1 1/2 cups american cheese
cook maaroni to package directions...drain and set aside
for heese saue, cook onion in butter until tender. stir in flour and pepper. add milk all at once. cook and stir over medium heat until thick and bubbly. add cheese, stirring until melted. stir in cooked macaroni. transfer to 2-quart casserole dish.
bake uncovered at 350 for 25 minutes until bubbly and heated through. let stand 10 minutes before serving
