2 tbsp. orange juice


1/4 c. granulated sugar


2 1/3 c. sifted confectioners sugar


1 egg


1/2 c. shortening


1 tbsp. grated orange rind

1/2 cup butter 1/2 cup crisco mix together add 1 teaspoon of clear vanilla extract 3 cups confectioners sugar, beat well makes 2 cups of frosting.. i sometimes just use 1 full cup of crisco to make it white instead of 1/2 cup butter. if it is to thick you can add a little milk to it.

2 tb Flour


1/2 c Margarine


1/2 c Crisco


1 c Sugar


1 ts Vanilla extract

Cook water and flour until thick and creamy. Cool this mixture. Cream


together margarine, crisco, and sugar. When water and flour mixture is


cool, add to margarine, crisco, and sugar. Beat for 15 minutes. Add


vanilla for chocolate cake. Add almond extract for white cake.
